Playing Dress Up

A typical day usually looks a lot like this..lots of jewelry..a fancy dress.. a little bit of lipstick, hair up or down? Depends on her mood.

And giving me pretty smiles...that's what the lolipop is for. :)

We are working on fixing up our backyard right now (I can't wait!) fortunately we have one pretty corner in the whole yard.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Goodbye December

It's that time of year again when we say goodbye to another month..and now another year!

Goodbye 2013, you have been quite a year!

A year of learning and growing.
A year of trusting and letting go..
A year of praying for patience, peace and love.
And a year of enjoying the little moments that matter most.

One thing I did do this year that I am sooo thankful for was starting a Project Life album..I've been terrible at posting my progress but I'm proud to say I'm almost caught up and finished with the year. (yay!) It's something the whole family can look back on and hold dear.

Another thing I hoped to do this year was take plenty of photos..which I did and that really helped me grow more as a photographer I think!

I also marked "read more books" off my resloution list this year..and "travel". I read a handful of great books this year and hope to continue onto next year! And we did some traveling to new places this summer and had so much fun on vacation.

I can't wait to see what 2014 has to offer and I'm excited to see where God takes me in this life of mine.

Here's a few memories of December...see you next year! :)

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas

It's Christmas!

I feel like there was still so much to do and get caught up on, but not enough time. December always goes by too quickly.

It was still a lovely day shared with those I love and now it's all done and I can relax!

Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The end of Fall..

Winter is defintely coming to southern California! The tempatures have dropped and we have been getting snow in the local mountains.

Fall is barely hanging on..every day I see more and more leaves falling off trees and blowing around. Big piles getter bigger and the trees becoming more bare.

I've noticed Natalie doesn't care for the cold much. Every day we drive up the mountain road to get to work and to grandma's house...I have to remind Natalie that it's sooo much colder up the hill we have to dress warm! But she just wants to wear her fancy tutu dress..she is such a girly girl (I don't know where she gets it from! lol).

Goodbye fall, you were lovely.

She's 4!

I can't believe it! My little Natalie is 4 years old!

I still remember being pregnant and people stopping me and telling me to enjoy every minute with her because time will fly by..and yep, it sure has!

Natalie is such a blessing! I can't picture life without her, she has changed our lives and made it worth living for.

God gave us a special gift when he put her in our lives. She is very entertaining, such a girly girl and of course she thinks she is a princess. If it was up to her she would be in a princess dress from sunrise to sunset!

We had a little impromtu photo session after her preschool class a few days before her birthday. She did good and smiled for me and all I had to do was promise her a handful of gummy bears once we got home! lol..I let her do her thing and be her.

Happy 4th Birthday sweet girl! I love you!

A Taste of Fall at Home..

Fall, my favorite season.

The leaves turning colors, the cool weather, sweaters and cozy blankets.
Pumpkins, candy corn, scarecrows, pinecones and owls.

We've been going to lots of Farmer's Markets and buying fresh fall flowers to fill up the house with color. Stocking up on harvest veggies and smelling up the house with yummy pumpkin pie candles.

Watching Natalie make turkey projects and hanging up pumpkins on the windows..love!

Such a lovely time of the year and so much to be thankful for.
